1. Can parents receive counseling at the Center?

The Counseling Center provides individual, couples or group therapy to University of Tennessee students only.

If you are in need of psychological counseling, the American Psychological Association has a Help Center on their website with an online psychologist locator service. In addition, if you have health insurance, you can contact your insurance company and inquire about mental health benefits. You might also check with your employer to see if they have an Employee Assistance Program. Many companies' EAP programs provide free or reduce mental health counseling.

In an emergency, go to your local Emergency Room or call 911.
