Welcome to the UT Counseling Center!The Counseling Center is the university's primary facility for personal counseling, psychotherapy, and psychological outreach and consultation services. Our mission is to promote the psychological, educational, and social well-being of the students of The University of Tennessee and to help prepare them to be productive members of society. Our staff members provide a variety of services for students, faculty and staff, including walk-in intake; crisis intervention; individual, couples and group counseling and psychotherapy; psycho-educational workshops, and consultation. We are located at 900 Volunteer Blvd, in between Stokley Management Center and Undergraduate Academic Services and across the street from Greve Hall. Our hours are currently M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with walk-in hours between 10:00 am and 11:30 am and then again between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm. No fees are charged except for a modest charge for ADHD assessment. The University of Tennessee Student Counseling Services Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and is a member of the Association of Predoctoral & Postdoctoral Internship Centers (APPIC) and the Association of Counseling Center Training Agents (ACCTA). The Internship Training Program at the Student Counseling Center is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
